Finished Jdramas [Feb 2011 - April 2011]

note: if you ever come across this, please know that i'm not sure if this would be really helpful to you or anybody else as i've made this more for personal purposes.

Atashinchi no Danshi – i super enjoyed watching this drama. i believe that all of the characters have great chemistry with one another. all the brothers are epic in their own ways... and the house. XD this drama got me laughing, amused, irritated and touched... very interesting and entertaining. reminded me how family is very vital to one’s life, and that you need not be blood-related to be considered as a family. it’s about the bond that you share—the care, the love and sticking together through whatever weather. J the ending is also very nice. i’m happy that it did not disappoint me, because i really have issues with people leaving and separations. :p

Bloody Monday – pretty intense and serious... but totally hooking. ^^ a drama about terrorists, a group against it, and a very handsome hacker that got himself involved and is helping bring down the terrorists... well, the very handsome hacker [Haruma Miura] is actually the main character. :p and how i love him and his great and handy skills. it’s totally interesting... the twists and turns... how everything can turn around and how your friend today can be your enemy tomorrow...

Buzzer Beat – Yamapi is, seriously, a quite stiff actor... but he makes it [everything] work. :D and i loved his character and actually thinks he’s perfect—good son and brother, nice friend, striving for his dream and yadda-yadda. unfortunately, his girlfriend thinks otherwise... tired of waiting for him and thinks he is being childish and immature. tbh, she’s quite a bitch, but can’t hate her because she’s Aibu Saki and i adore her. lol for biases. J anyways, i loved Kitagawa Keiko’s character, too. I’m a bit envious of her since i really, really want to learn how to play the violin. :p anyways, such a cute love story they have, helping boost each other’s confidence to reach their dreams. [PixKeiko]

Code Blue – intense! XD very interesting and hooking... no dull moments for me... and Yamapi makes such a H-O-T doctor... <3 <3 <3 great cast, and LOL, the mom and dad of Ariake siblings in Ryusei no Kizuna are also in this jdrama... :D anyways, enjoyed watching this drama. the level of tension never dwindles... J  can’t wait to watch the special and the 2nd season. ^^

Dragon Zakura – hello again, Yamapi. :) anyways, at first i thought this drama is like Gokusen with misunderstood students and gangs and delinquents, but it’s not. it’s about a group of students believed to be stupid getting training/tutoring from a lawyer so that they can enter the prestigious Tokyo University. great watch. ^^ you can also get tips on how you can make studying more fun and more effective. J never liked the girl teacher. :p one guy looks like Daesung from BigBang, and one girl looks like EunHye [Coffee Prince, Princess Hours]. :p

Gokusen III – amusing how it seems to never get old... although the stories and dilemmas are quite similar to the first two instalments/seasons, each episode is still fun and entertaining to watch... insightful and touching... i don’t know if it’s just because i’m feeling very nostalgic of my school days with friends, or it’s also possible that i’ve matured a little and can relate/be more sensitive to the drama better...  but i think that this is the most touching out of the three... ^^ i also feel that the main group of boys from 3-D have a deeper bond with Yankumi... is that why they’re on the movie? I have yet to watch the movie, though... -.- well, anyways, what’s important is that Gokusen did not lose its touch [for me]... ^^

Hell Girl anime turned into live-action. haven’t watched the anime yet, but the live-action is okay. though i find it a little off for the girl playing Ai coz she should be petite, her acting is good. i’m not sure if this is considered as a dark drama since it’s about revenges and sending the people you hate straight to hell, but yeah, it reminded me how rotten some people in this world are. and if you ask me, almost all the revenges are justified. :p coz those rotten people just won’t go away and let them live in peace—or the severity of the life’s damage they’ve done are just way overboard. and it’s not like the police can do something about it. :p
Honey and Clover – while my friends really got bored with this drama and didn’t anymore continue watching after the first episode, i, on the other hand, got hooked and liked watching it... i like the self-issues it presented... how Toma didn’t really have a dream and tried to find a sense of purpose... how they all had insecurities or tough times to deal with... and how cute and fun, yet somewhat complicated [love triangles] their friendship is... ^^ them all being students in an art university also adds to my interest in it... i really wish i’m good in painting/drawing... or can, even just once, experience doing pottery in my life... haha~! :p and i got kind of envious of how they all have a place they belong to... they all have or had found what they love to do [or a person to be w/]... as the sensei said, not all can find a job that they truly like... but it doesn’t mean you won’t enjoy the job you’d get... and based on experience, it’s also important to try some other things out, especially when you’re quite unsure of what to do... you never know, you might end up liking it, or maybe it’s really what’s suited for you... :p

Kurosagi – Yamapi + revenge-swindling [wits] story = really good... ^^ it’s fun to see Yamapi doing all those sort of roles for his swindling... and the speaking in English parts... :D Horikita Maki was quite annoying in the beginning, but she gets better and more likeable as the drama progresses... :p  a constant annoying character [for me] is the police officer who gives me the impression that he thinks he’s so smart and has Kurosaki all figured out—that Kurosaki’s just an immature kid playing around... thinking he has the right to do so coz of the tragedy his family experienced... i think that the police officer is confused and is actually describing himself... plus, he has such an annoying laugh... XO and well, i don’t really have that much trust and faith with the authorities... :p

Kurosagi, The Movie – it’s good. just like watching the series... lots of people complain that Horikita Maki had such little screen time... but i don’t really care... the story, after all, is about Kurosaki... :p watched this right after finishing the series... which is quite like “enjoying the hang-over” i still have from the series... ^^ plus it sorta made me have a better grasp on the relationship of Kurosaki and the “swindling master”. ^^

Liar Game – Matsuda Shota is very amazing. XD Erika Toda is very naive and trusting—one that believes in a pure world... but life just isn’t like that. -.- anyways, aside from getting frustrated from time to time, this is also a very nice watch. and the two of them complement each other’s character. :) i’ve yet to watch the 2nd season and movie though.

Love Shuffle – i super enjoyed watching this drama... great cast and plot... ^^ the bond and friendship that eventually bloomed between everybody is truly beautiful... somehow, they all helped each other get over their love and life problems... and i super agree with all the final pairings... though amazingly, in my opinion, everybody sorta have chemistry with one another. ^^ and the things they say stick so much in your head... “say it ain’t so, Joe”  “yey, panda~!”

Maou – Ohno’s drama... <3 and Nino made a cameo, too... :D Ohno’s a great actor...  and all throughout, i was rooting for Ryou... i wanted him to achieve his happy ending, whatever that is [yeah, i feel that his killing others is justified]... :p halfway through, i wanted him to finish his revenge, have his brother’s weird and nerdy friend be charged as the criminal [well, he is] and then, be together with Shiori and live happily ever after... but of course, that’s not what happened... anyways, the ending is good too... ^^ although it’s quite funny how Naoto went first before Ryou... -.-‘

Mei-chan no Shitsuji – it’s quite irritating at some pointS, and i super do not appreciate Eikura Nana’s hairstyle, but overall, it’s a good watch... has funny moments, sweet and entertaining... ^^ the butlers are such eye candies... and it would really have you wishing that you have a butler as well... but it’s not just because of the good looks and great service, it’s mainly because the lady-butler bond, even if it does not involve romance, is very special and amazing... so full of trust, understanding and consideration... ^^

Nodame Cantabile – a very fun and entertaining and quite relaxing drama to watch... ^^ great and beautiful characters... and since i’m totally interested with watching dramas/animes with music involved, i was so hooked... XD the very animated characters and reactions also really work... ^^ hmmm, i don’t know what else to say, but for me, this drama has no bad points... ^^ great, great, great~! V^^

Otomen – cutesy drama about being true to yourself... to what you really want/like... or at least, that’s what i see... :p and yeah, love story development between the girl and the boy. except that they’ve inter-changed roles—with the guy liking girly hobbies and the girl being tough... they’re a great match. ^^ fun drama to watch and it’s amusing how they super liked the manga their friend made that’s based on them but they don’t realize it’s about them. XD lol at the ending.

Ryusei no Kizuna – another story revolving around avenging the family... very fun to watch because of the swindling stories... and how they use the targets’ p.o.v... :D the siblings’ relationship is touching... Nino’s character is such a cute and good older brother... <3 though one thing i didn’t like was TogamixShii... i know he’s such a good guy and all, but i just don’t like it [the pairing]... -.- my lack of faith on authorities got quite reaffirmed... LOL... and i think the inspector/police or whatever in this drama is the same as the one in Maou... well, not really sure... :p

Smile – drama much... Vito [Jun Matsumoto] is always being blamed and framed because he’s not a pure Japanese. oh, discrimination. >.< but he’s still lucky as his friends and ‘girlfriend’ is always behind his back... well, he deserves to have them—people he can always count on—after all of the tragedies that fell on him... it’s amazing that he can still go on after everything. but yeah, that’s actually the point of the drama, that he can still rise up and smile despite everything. and it’s very Filipino-ish... to smile in spite of facing difficulties.
